Families and Individuals must move toward greater food self-sufficiency. Food shortages are not coming--they have begun. Here is what you must do Immediately:

  • Acquire a 1-2 year balanced supply of dehydrated and freeze dried, vacuum/nitrogen packed foods be acquired for every member of your family.

Israeli Simplex NBC Gas Mask for adult and hard-to-find children sizes. This is a must for the coming "fire will fall from Heaven and mix with fire from earth," Virgin Mary said at La Salette, France in 1846; again in 1917 (Fątima), and again in Akita, Japan to Sister Agnes Sasagawa (1973 - 1981).

The volcanos, Montserrat in the Carribean, and Popocatepeti in Mexico are slated for great destruction if they explode in the worst case scenario possible.  Still others may occur when these may not be so destructive.

The point is:  There will be hot surfuric gases, fumes, ash, and smoke smarting, burning, and choking the eyes, lungs, and irritating the skin, mucus membranes, and the whole exposed body.  If you have to be out under such circumstances--running for your life, for instance, you will need this item.

The Israeli Simplex NBC Gas Mask is for Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical.  During these coming earth changes; we won't need a nuclear war to release radiation into the atmosphere, the shifting and moving earth will disrupt the nuclear reactors. And that will contaminate the water and everything else--especially your food supply.

This is why you need books in your storage you have read concerning proper water and food storage and survival--Get The Mask.

  • Acquire 1 year of sproutable seeds for salads and the nourishment of fresh vegetables--check the above catalogues [Nitro-Pak is one] for these. Do NOT get hybrids!

  • Purchase a home dehydrator and begin NOW to dry all that meat you have in the freezer, especially you hunters.   Good not only for meats, but also for fruits and vegetables

  • Acquire 1-3 months' worth of canned goods. Eat on a rotational basis.

  • Acquire 1 month of military M.R. E.s (Meals Ready to Eat]--better for 1-3 months.

  • Purchase a variety of bulk grains and legumes in bulk. Store in 5 gallon plastic buckets (best: Mylar Sacks; Oxygen Absorber Paks, and Desiccant Dryer Paks--see below); 300 lbs of wheat per person, 25-30 lbs of all others (best: 40 -45 lbs).
Avoid grains and beans with a high oil or fat content like brown rice & soybeans; try pinto beans and regular and baby lima beans. The oil acts as an accelerator of oxygenation and considerably reduces shelf life.
Get a "Back to Basics' Grain Mill or some other hand -operated meal grinder. Remember, most or all electricity will GO!
Get this from Nitro-Pak [see above] or

    Major Surplus & Survival, Inc.
    435 W. Alondra Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248
    1-310-324-8855/toll free: (800) 441-8855

  • Acquire 75 lbs of non-fat dry milk per person. Keep in mind that dairy products generally have a short shelf life, so learn to rotate your stock every 2-5 years; or, get it vaccum-nitrogen packed.

Remember, kids will literally starve before your very eyes if they do not get variety!   They will not eat a monotonous diet for long--they are not use to this in America. Train them up now to eat what you set before them, this is called Discipline.   Therefore, get also jams, jellies, preserves (strawberry/apricot are good choices), fruit butter sauces, such as Apple-Butter Sauce, etc. from your regular grocers as well as from the companies listed here.  Get also the dried peanut-butter and cheeses.  The preserves, jams, etc. store well in a hot attic.

Soon, you will not be able to get the store bought varieties to rotate when the pronounced shortages occur.   Learn to discipline your children now to eat what you put before them and from a wide variety of foods you select for their health, provided they are not allergic to them.  Also, note, if you and/or your children are allergic to peanut butter, get soy butter.   This must be rotated while it can. Get peanut butter and cheeses for the family members that can eat them.  They are also good for barter with those who have food storage programs.

Do not broadcast your food storage program. It will lead to disaster for you when the shortages get pronounced.  Remember, gangs will be roving and breaking in for FOOD, when supplies are low or there is no food in various areas.

  • Get a pistol and 1000 rounds or more of shells .

  • Get a rifle and 2000 or more rounds of shells.

SARAH BRADY, Chairman of Handgun Control Inc., Says:

"Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed."

Barter :

  • If you can find anyone who has something you want ! Remember... You prepared--they didn't..

We recommend in additon to the above and below items for your food storage, you get some extra for Bartering, as well as:

  1. Ammunition
    1. 0.22 Long Rifle caliber shells (1000 to 5000 rounds)
    2. 0.38 caliber pistol (1000 to 5000 rounds)
    3. 9 mm pistol rounds of the same quantity as above
    4. 12 gauge shotgun shells with game loads. Store same number of rounds as above

  2. Soap, toothpaste, razors, etc.
  3. How To Books on Canning, Preserving, etc...
  4. Clothing, shoes, etc.. your family may have outgrown.

  • 60 lbs of white sugar and honey per house hold member.  Get the health food store variety that will crystalize. It will store indefinitely. Can be stored in a hot attic--store in varmint proof containers.

  • Get 5-10 pounds of salt per person. Salt can be used to preserve foods that would otherwise spoil. Get this: Without salt--you May not survive.

  • Store 25 - 50 lbs of fat or oil per person. Get solid Crisco for the solid fat; also get polyunsaturated oils nitrogen packed--get the latter from your health food stores.  If not nitrogen packed, then use Butylated Hydroxytoulene to keep the oil(s) from going rancid.

You need a 2:1 ratio of polyunsaturated fat to saturated.  We also recommend the powdered varieties from Sam Andy--see above.

  • Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, the oil from the first pressing, with its rich and fruity flavor will last two years if stored in a cool, dark, dry place. Also, to enhance its storage qualities, you can add Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)--an antioxidant for fats--to it. You can get this at your health food store, or Health Food Heaven (see next item).   Follow directions on the BHT bottle for storage of oils. We recommend the olive oil imported from Italy, Bertolli.  For 1-1/4 gals of any oil, use four (4) capsules per bottle.

When the "Total Collapse" hits (see "Total Collapse" at Menu) the first three months will be horrendous!  It will be, to say the least, most difficult, because Americans are not use to doing without.  The stress will seem unbearable and unrelent- ing.  You will need, for a man doing sedentary work, 2,000 calories per day; if doing hard manual work--if work can be found, 2,500 calories per day.   A woman doing normal house work will need upwards 1,900 to 2,000 calories per day. The only way to get this many calories is through oils.

Otherwise, if you could eat that much food in a given day, you'd run through your food supplies seemingly overnight. Also, you will have to work on balancing out your meals or you will end up eating one or two item meals for unbalanced nutrition, and then ending with the same--all to the detriment of your health.

  • Get a one years' supply of vitamins from your health food store.
Get same for minerals. You will need vitamin C and iodine. Vitamin C will last two years if stored in a cool, dark dry place. Or you can get it from sprouting wheat berries into wheat grass. We suggest Ultra-mins from Natures Plus. We also suggest Super Vita-Boost vitamins.
Also get Sprouting Seeds.  For these items, Contact:

    Health Food Heaven
    3515 Fannin; Ste. 104
    Beaumont, TX 77701
    1-409-833-9961

We highly suggest you store and rotate the new Whey Protein Concentrate or Isolate without sweetners or aspartame.  You can get these too at Health Food Heaven.

You can add sugar, etc. to it later.  This protein is great for mixing in pancakes, soups, gravies, beans, etc.

It has branched chained amino acids: Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. These are used for energy first of the amino acid family and are not a wastful source of muscle resources from your body muscle stores. You can get this also from Health Food Heaven.

    Also get the Following:

  • 200-500 gallons of potable water per person if possible, stored in 5 gallon food grade plastic containers. Get a water purification filter also, and water purification tablets. Also, download to printer from this section on Menu, Purifying Water. You are going to need it.

    Water Facts :

    1. In one hour, when exercising, you can lose up to a quart of water.

    2. Consumption of water should be done on a regular basis since thirst is an imprecise guide of dehydration.

    3. Two-thirds of Americans are a quart low on water every day.

    4. You should drink two (2) quarts of water everyday.  Don't figure in your wine coolers, tea, coffee, etc., when calculating this.

    5. Daily water intake for non-active individuals should be at least 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight.

    6. Water is the body's principal coolant, preventing overheating, which can be fatal.

    7. Water not only lubricates our joints, but it protects and cushions our tissues and vital organs.

    8. Water is a natural diuretic.

  • Emergency stoves, heaters, and lanterns with enough fuel to last at least 1 - 3 months.

We recommend for emergency stoves at least two.  We have:

    1. American Camper; Low-Profile Propane Stove, single burner.  We tried it out this weekend and it cooks beautifully. We used with a cast iron skillet and lid.   We got ours at Academy for about $15.95. Try out at least one of your stoves to be acquainted with the overall operation.

    2. American Camper; Two-Burner Propane Stove with back and side shields against wind. Excellent !   We got ours also from Academy for about $29.99.
    3. Get enough propane fuel for 1-3 months; preferably 3 months. Use and rotate. We got ours at Academy for about $2.00 per bottle--16.4 oz.

  • Adequate clothing and bedding (sleeping bags) for each family member.  The climate where you live or will operate or have to run to will dictate specifics here.

  • Adequate household tools for repair of home appliances and automobiles.

  • Acquire a library on self sufficiency topics and learn skills and acquire items that will be in demand during tough times. Get survival books.... and most of all,  get:

The Two-Fold Chastisement: Visions of The Coming Earth Changes. Then READ it through several times and follow the advice therein.

  • Pepper Spray for mature children and adults in the family

  • Get Checkers and Checker Board.   Get Dominos and Cross Word Puzzles for Children, along with several paper back dictionaries. Get back to basics--there may well be no television, radio, etc. for a while. Children, as well as you, need a diversion and be occupied when things go down.

  • Tire Pump for auto tires. Get the foot pedal type first; then, one that plugs into cigarette lighter if so desired. We got ours at Auto Zone.

  • Cane Syrup in the can or plastic bottles. Get large sizes. Enough for six months for family members.

  • Chlorox. Do Not...Do Not get with flavors, such as lemon, etc. Get it plain.

  • Various openers: bottle, can, etc. in addition to the immediate above.

  • Spagatti with cheese. The cheese comes dry in the boxes.  Get also from your grocery store as well as food storage companies.  Store at least six months supply.

Grain/Flour Storage:  Store at least 40 - 45 pounds per month/per adult/year.  Remember, under Stress, your caloric needs go up.  A man needing 1800 calories a day will require 2000; and if, when all this hits, he can find work--hard physical work--he will need upwards of 2500 calories per day or more.  A thin woman needing only 1200 -1500 calories per day now, will need 1800 to 2000 and possibility more calories per day depending upon the work she does and the stress she encounters.

The stress will be horrendous !  The only way to get this many calories is from FATS and OILS.  Otherwise, you will eat into your food stores like locus and a years supply will be gone in 6 - 8 months.  Get the FATS & OILS--at least 25 - 50 pounds per person per year.

  • 25-lb sacks of White flour. Enough for at least 1 year. Can be stored safely in a hot attic. Store in varmint proof containers.  A note of caution, however, is advisable. On staples that you store yourself, such as Legumes (beans), baking supplies, flour, rice, etc...you need to make sure your grains (wheat, oats, rice, rye, barley, corn, etc.) are fumigated from weevils, little bugs and worms.

They get into your food supply that you build yourself from staples from your grocers by the very fact that even though white flour, for instance is processed; insects, bugs, etc. are everywhere and lay their eggs in the processed product.

When you open your food staples in a year, you may find additional protein moving about in the flour, etc.. This may be unesthetic, but it is not dangerous to your health and we plan to cook 'em up in the biscuits or whatever we make with the white flour, etc.

If this bothers you, then there are ways to fumigate for bugs such that when they hatch, there is no oxygen present for them to live. This also helps with oils in foods to reduce the rancidity via oxidation that the oils can undergo spoiling them. We only recommend storing white rice or flour in the hot attic. Other foods may have too much oil in them and break down too rapidly. Use the below methods for oil containing foods, but store in a cool, dark, dry place for longer shelf life.

    Fumigation:

    1. Dry Ice: Spread some of your grains on the bottom of your plastic pail/plastic tote, etc. Add 1/4 to 1/2 pound of dry ice for each 100 lbs. of grain.  Then pour in the rest of the grain. Place the lid on the container loosely, but do not seal it for one hour. You can wait up to 5 - 6 hours before sealing. If you seal it too soon, an explosion could occur placing grain everywhere. In my family, we seal ours with melted parafin wax and duct tape. We get large new 33-gal. metal garbage cans; line it with a large plastice bag, then apply the immediate above.  Or, you can get self-sealing containers with lids.

    2. If this seems like too much work for you, then order from Nitro-Pak Preparedness Center (1-800-866-4878) catalog and place an order for Oxygen Absorber Paks.  Fill your container nearly full and place on top of the product the Oxygen Absorbing Packets; seal immediately--no need to wait. One (1) Oxygen Absorber Pak per one (1) gallon bucket. Thus, for a 10-gallon bucket, you would use 10 Oxygen Absorber Pak.  Or, use the 6 gal. Mylar Sacks; add food to be stored; then top off with 7 Oxygen Absorber Paks and 1 Desiccant Dryer Pak; Seal with iron set at wool setting. Store in a plastic tote such that rodents, etc. can't get to it.  It's that simple!

    3. By ordering from the enclosed companies, A and B are already done for you. However, having a little extra is to be on the safe side and is good for bartering. You can tailor more to your needs this way at less cost, and now is the time to learn to eat the foods you store and store the foods you eat.  This is especially important for your children. Don't wait for the Chastisement to try and learn or teach your children to eat different foods, or yourself. Now is the time to do it.

Ideal Storage facilities are cool, dark areas, 40 to 60 degrees.

  • 25-lb sacks of White rice.  Enough for at least 1 year. Store as above. The rice, as well as the flour, can be left in their original paper or plastic sacks. The main idea is to remove the oxygen present in the storage container and replace with an inert gas, such as carbon dioxide from dry ice.  The bugs need oxygen. You have deprived them of it when stored the above way.

  • Get large plastic totes for these items and food stuffs. Get Sweater clear plastice storage containers and clear plastic Under The Bed storage containers.

  • GET !   I REPEAT:  GET Potassium Iodide.

Radiation sickness medicine. We have looked high and low for this and found several supliers now carrying it. When you need it--you won't be able to get it!!!  Remember Three Mile Island and Chemobyl in the U.S.S.R when all available supplies disappeared?

Unlimited shelf storage life. Potassium Iodide is the only US Government approved preventive medicine for radiation sickness in the event of a thermonuclear accident or war. Taken as directed at least 1/2 hour prior to exposure to radiation, it blocks the absorption of radioactive iodine by the thyroid glands of adults, children, and animals.

Administered orally by pill.  Instructions included. Get from above resources.

We have good, well-meaning Christians friends that tell us God will take care of their needs because they are saved and trust in Him. Well... we wonder if they ever read Proverbs 27:12, which says:

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.

Read Matthrew, Chapter 25, then recall that God helps those who help themselves.

The first three months or so will be most critical, because you will be in a state of shock.  Food is a great comforter. Not only will it ease the stress and tension; you will have the foodstuffs you planned on having and wanted.  And, it will do more than just keep you alive.  You want that good nutrition which builds, maintains, and repairs for good, robust health. You can have it if you planned for it !

Folks, download this page to your printer also. What is coming is not going to be pretty. We are warned it will be worst than the Deluge.

Remember what God said through His prophet, Hosea, in chapter 4: 6-7:

My People are Destroyed for Lack Of Knowledge.
