John was born January 25, 1717 in Long Island, NY. He married Mary Holder on March 26, 1742, in Allemaengel (now Lynn Twsp.), Bucks Co., PA. He died March 20, 1772 in Gnadenhutten, Allemaengel (now Lynn) Twsp., Bucks Co., PA.

Their daughter, Catherine, was born about 1744. She married Daniel Oswald.
