LAW ENFORCEMENT SITES
ON THE WEB

After over 11 years online, I have finally decided to take this site down.
As of this date, it has been nearly 6 years since I last updated it,
and it has become significantly obsolete.
Many of the URLs listed have been hijacked by vultures,
and have now become pornographic sites.
The guestbook has become a haven for those listing illicit content.

I am still a police officer, primarily working computer related crime and conducting training.

The counter on this site as at 3.6 million when I decided to take it down.

A little brief history of this site is in order as to explain my motivations.
I started this site in March, 1994, when my office was in our regional police academy.
At the time there were few comprehensive law enforcement sites,
and the search engines were either non-existant or in thier infancy,
and LAW ENFORCEMENT information was difficult to locate.
I created this free, non-commercial way for law enforcement agencies,
individual officers, and related organizations to post their links.

The comprehensive search engines have made this resource totally obsolete.

For over 4 years I manually updated the lists almost daily, consuming a great deal of time.
As my duties changed in the late 90's it became more difficult for me to update this page
in a timely fashion, and the final update was posted in August, 1998.
On my home computer I sequentially numbered my major updates,
and the last update was numbered 351.

To all of my law enforcement brothers and sisters out there, BE SAFE.

Thanks for 11 good years online.
