Soup And Colds.


The Campbell Soup Company, for the first time in its history, is launching a nation-wide campaign publizing its line of soups as "comfort foods" for colds and flu.

Their national advertising campaign will co-advertise Procter & Gamble's Puffs facial tissues and Vicks cold products. A Tele-flora will be incorporated known as "Get Well" which you can order a bouquet of flowers for your ailings love ones, friends, etc., as well as a "Get Well Soup" gretting card.

Campbell's Research Facts Concerning Colds and Flu:

  • Each year, up to 90 percent Americans catch a cold.
  • An average of 2.5 colds a year are caught by Adults each year.
  • Children eight to ten colds per year.
  • Seventy-seven percent of the households catch a cold when a city gets sick.
  • Typical Americans will spend six years of their lives suffering from a cold.
  • During the peak cold and flu season, December 16th to February 8th, 100 million people get sick each week.
  • 361 million cans of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup are purchased by Americans each year--primarily during the cold and flu season.
